Stealing a kiss

Ah Mom...not infront of the camera

The red shirt

Mom put this shirt on me this morning. I had originally had a different one on but I kind of had a diaper accident this morning...so anyway, mom thought I looked really cute in this bright red shirt so out came the camera again. I wonder if when I am 20 years old I will mind that I used to wear clothes with "duckies" and "froggies" on them?

Enjoying the Swing...

I just woke up from a little cat nap in my swing. Mom had the camera all ready for this one. What is with that woman and that camera?

I'm Two Months old today!

Liam turned "2 months" today and that momentous occasion meant a trip to the health clinic for his first two immunizations. He did really well. He cried, but was fairly calm by the time we got ready to leave the clinic. Since this afternoon, he's had a rough evening. He's a lot more cranky than usual (understandably) and he is currently cuddling with Dad in the rocker. So far he hasn't developed a fever but his one thigh is red surrounding the injection site. I am preparing myself for a late night and perhaps a wakeful night. We've been spoiled lately as Liam has been consistently sleeping through the night. His current record is 9 1/2 hours straight!! We armed with infant tylenol, his soother and lots of love.

Visitors from Nipawin

On Saturday night we went out for supper with our friends, Ken & Corrie Kirk from Nipawin. It was really good to see them again and for them to meet Liam.

Eight Weeks Old

Liam is now eight weeks old, as of yesterday. Liam is smiling a lot now and has recently found his right fist and enjoys sucking on it to keep himself amused. It doesn't seem to take much...a fist, a silly look from mom, a diaper change, a song sung by Dad...actually that last one amuses me too. :) So to celebrate this eight week milestone...Lindsay and I dropped Liam off with my mom (Nanny) and we went on a date! Lindsay took me to our favorite coffee shop, Majestics for Valentines Day. Majestics is in one of the hotels that overlooks the river and the outdoor skating rink that we took Jeff, Alysun & Emmaleigh to. Sitting across from my valentine while sipping Starbucks and enjoying a piece of cheesecake was such a treat.

Visitors from Oregon

It was great to have our friends, Jeff, Alysun and Emmaleigh Peters with us from February 2nd to the 7th. What a sacrifice...coming from the mild conditions of Oregon to what could potentially be a very cold Canadian climate. Thankfully, it's been a mild winter and the five days they spent here were no exception. We were able to watch some movies, go ice skating down by the Meewasin Trail, go out to eat and take the guys to Pride & Prejudice in the theatre. You should have seen it. Al and I had to practically rip them away from the theatre as they wanted to see it again right after...okay so they weren't quite that enthusiastic but they did do pretty good considering the movie had no blood or car chases and the most suspenseful thing was wondering if Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth Bennet would ever get together. :) All in all it was a great time and it was so fun meeting Emmaleigh for the first time.

Birthday Celebrations!

Brad (my younger brother...the one on the left) and his roommate, J.J. Spence from Nipawin Bible Institute came down to visit on Sunday, February 5th to celebrate his birthday along with my Mom's. It was great to see them again and Liam enjoyed seeing his cool Uncle Brad again, who he hadn't seen since Christmas break. We decided it would be a good idea to take a picture of the "college roommates" that day. Alysun and I were roommates our second year at Briercrest.

Little Gaffer

Why the three p's?

With our recent entrance into parenthood we have seen a lot of pee, poop and have spent a lot of time in prayer. These are also three things that we realize we will be around for quite a while. We're excited to be parents and enjoy sharing that excitement with the people around us...thus the blog. Hope you enjoy the look into our lives.
